Episcopal palaces in Prussia to 1525
Recent scholarship has increasingly cast its attention on the episcopal palaces of Prussian bishoprics during the latter half of the mediaeval period. In my doctoral thesis (FU Berlin, 2004) and several shorter works I have examined these constructions with regard to the bishops of the four Prussian bishoprics of Kulm (Pelplin), Ermland (Warmia), Pomesanien (Pomesania) und Samland (Sambia), using the extensive but highly disparate source material to be found in German and Polish archives.
